Football Opens 2024 Campaign Saturday at Tufts

SATURDAY'S GAME
In a battle between teams who finished in the middle of the conference standings in 2023, the Bowdoin and Tufts football teams will kick off their 2024 campaigns on Saturday evening at Zimman Field. Game time is set for 6:00 p.m., and the contest is the only night game in the conference tomorrow.

LIVE COVERAGE
Tufts will broadcast the game live on the Jumbocast network. Live stats can also be found here.

LAST SEASON
Tufts finished the season with a 6-3 overall record, in a tie for third place in the conference standings in 2023, equaling their 2022 finish. Bowdoin ended at 4-5, claiming the CBB crown, and ended in a tie for fifth place in the NESCAC.

LAST MEETING
In a driving rainstorm last year in Brunswick, Tufts scored 21 unanswered points to defeat Bowdoin 24-10. Bowdoin led 10-3 early in the second quarter, but the Jumbos took command after that as the Polar Bears were held to 155 yards of offense on the night.

BOWDOIN vs. TUFTS – ALL-TIME

Saturday will be the 118th meeting between the teams with Tufts holding a 66-49-2 advantage in the all-time series. Tufts has won the last eight meetings after Bowdoin claimed five in a row from 2010-14.
