WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Bowdoin College men's tennis team split a pair of big matches on their final weekend of the regular season, falling to Middlebury 6-3, before bouncing back with a big 6-3 win over Williams on Sunday. The Polar Bears finish the regular season with a 16-6 (7-3 NESCAC) record, and will be the fifth seed for the NESCAC Tournament that begins on Friday.
 
Weekend Highlights

• Bowdoin dug themselves a 3-0 hole in doubles play against Middlebury and couldn't rally despite a good effort in singles play.
• Tristan Bradley (6-4, 6-1), Pieter Breuker (6-7, 6-2, 10-8), and Andrew Mendelson (4-6, 6-2, 7-5)  all took singles wins against the Panthers.
• Against Williams, Bowdoin took an early edge, winning at number two doubles from Ethan Bradley/Jackson Codd (8-5), and Aden Dorros/Mick Tamas (8-4) at three.
• In singles action, Bowdoin took care of business, winning three quick singles matches in straight sets from Tristan Bradley (6-4, 6-3), Reid Staples (6-3, 6-4), and Ethan Bradley (7-6, 6-2). Mick Tamas capped it with a 6-1, 3-6, 6-3 victory to round out the win.

• Bowdoin is the fifth seed and will play fourth-seeded Amherst in the NESCAC Quarterfinals on Friday, May 3. Match times and location will be announced early this week.
