BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's tennis team split a pair of NESCAC matches with a 7-2 win over Bates on Saturday and a 7-2 setback to Tufts on Sunday.
 
The Polar Bears are 7-5 overall with a 4-1 record in conference play.
 
Bates Match Highlights

• Bowdoin swept doubles play to jump out to a 3-0 lead. Elizabeth Yu and Jamilah Karah cruised to an 8-1 win at #1. Caroline Stuhlfaut and Hannah Buckhout went 8-5 at #2 and Julia Ross teamed up with Zoe Sun at #3 for an 8-4 win.
• Stuhlfaut, Buckhout, and Candice Ballarin all won two-setters at four through six.
• Yu battled to a three-set win at #2, going 4-6, 6-2, 1-0.

 
Tufts Match Highlights

• In a reversal from Saturday, Bowdoin was swept in doubles play.
• Cara Hung stepped into the #2 singles spot and posted a 6-2, 6-4 win.
• Stuhlfaut played at #6 against the Jumbos and picked up a 6-0, 6-2 victory.
