BRUNSWICK, Maine – The fourth-ranked Bowdoin College men's tennis team opened its spring season with a pair of impressive 9-0 sweeps against Babson and Connecticut College on Saturday at Maine Pines Tennis Center.
 
Babson Highlights

• Bowdoin easily handled 14^th-ranked Babson to open their season, 9-0.
• The Polar Bears won all competitive doubles matches as Tristan Bradley/Reid Staples (8-5), Pieter Breuker/Ethan Bradley (8-4), and Jack Flores/Jackson Codd (8-4) gave the hosts a 3-0 edge.
• Bowdoin dominated singles action, losing just one set in six matches as Tristan Bradley, Staples, Breuker, Ethan Bradley, and Andrew Mendelson all posted straight-set wins.
• Mark Kneiss capped the shutout with a 6-3, 2-6, 7-6 (11-9) win at number four.

Connecticut College Highlights

• Bowdoin easily handled the top two doubles matches courtesy of Aden Dorros and Mick Tamas (8-4) and Mark Kneiss/Andrew Mendelson (8-1).
• Jack Flores and Jackson Codd went deep into their number three doubles match before coming away with an 8-6 victory to give the Polar Bears a commanding 3-0 edge heading to singles.
• In singles play, Bowdoin didn't lose a single set, posting six straight-set wins courtesy of Mendelson, Flores, Tamas, Dorros, Codd, and Sujan Garapati to cap the 9-0 win.
