BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin men's ice hockey team saw its season come to an end in a 5-1 upset loss to Middlebury on Saturday afternoon.
Bowdoin concludes the season at 14-7-4. The Panthers advance with an 8-13-4 mark.
Game Highlights
- The Panthers came out firing and scored at 2:33 to take a 1-0 lead. Wyatt Pastor took a no-angle shot that bounced off the side of the net and into a Bowdoin defender. The defender mishandled the rebound and the puck squirted out front where Andrew Seaman converted.
- With 3:09 remaining in the frame, Andrej Hromic chipped the puck up off the boards in front of his own bench. Jin Lee carried into Bowdoin territory along the right side and centered a pass to Michael Fairfax for a one-timer.
- Bowdoin found a power play goal in the final six seconds to send the teams into the first intermission at 2-1. Luke Wheeler controlled the puck off the left post and crossed a pass to Isaac Abbot on the diagonal. Abbot connected with the feed and beat Jake Horoho.
- The Panthers scored late in the second to make it 3-1. On the power play, Revy Mack and Seaman connected with some tic-tac-toe passing before finding Pastor in the middle.
- Middlebury scored two empty-net goals to ice the game.
