BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin College men's ice hockey team will host its first "Teddy Bear Toss" game this Saturday, December 7 at Watson Arena against Tufts University. Game time is set for 3:00 p.m.
 
Held in collaboration with the New England Cancer Specialists and the Dempsey Center, fans are encouraged to bring a new or gently-loved stuffed animal to Saturday's game. After Bowdoin scores its first goal fans can throw their stuffed animals onto the ice, where they will be collected and donated to the Dempsey Center for children this holiday season.
 
The contest is part of the Bowdoin Student Athlete Advisory Committee's Cancer Awareness Initiative, which has sponsored games throughout the season to bring awareness and raise funds. All Bowdoin regular season athletic games are free admission.
