BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's tennis team hosted Brandeis, Babson, and Colby for a weekend of matches.
The Polar Bears had a fantastic showing against all three teams and went a combined 11-1 in doubles action. Bowdoin was 21-4 in singles play.
Match Highlights
- The Polar Bears swept Colby and Brandeis in doubles play and went 4-1 against Babson.
- In singles against Brandeis, Suzanne Pogorelec, Jamilah Karah, Candice Ballarin, and Marie Frati all won in straight sets. Isabella Hartung and Zoe Sung finished off their matches with tie-break wins.
- Bowdoin's singles players swept the Mules with additional wins from Caroline Stuhlfaut and Julia Ross.
- The weekend's highlight came as Pogorelec defeated one of nation's top players in head-to-head action. The first-year took down Olivia Soffer from Babson 7-5, 0-6, 10-6.
- Karah, Ross, Hartung, Sun, Ballarin, and Frati all also picked up wins against Babson.
