Late Goal Lifts Men's Soccer to 2-2 Tie At Tufts in Regular Season Finale

MEDFORD, Mass. – Luke Macaione scored in the final minutes to lift the Bowdoin men's soccer team to a 2-2 draw at Tufts on Tuesday.
 
The Polar Bears conclude the regular season with a 7-3-4 record overall and 2-3-4 NESCAC mark. The Jumbos head into the post-season with an 11-0-4 (7-0-3 NESCAC) record.
 
Game Highlights
  • Bowdoin scored first in the 62nd minute to take a 1-0 lead. Mateo Pacelli stuck with play as the ball bounced off the goalie and toward the right post. Pacelli chipped the ball over the heads of the goalie and defender to score.
  • Tufts answered three minutes later with a similar goal. Henry Perkins tracked the ball down as it bounced off the defense and rattled around the box before putting away a rebound.
  • The Jumbos took the lead in the 76th minute.
  • Bowdoin came away with the tie as Macaione scored with 2:02 remaining in the game. Ronaldo Cabral blasted a corner kick from the left side and Macaione perfectly timed a header to skip the ball into the net.
