MEDFORD, Mass. – The Bowdoin College volleyball team completed a perfect NESCAC weekend with an impressive 3-0 sweep of Tufts on Saturday afternoon. The Polar Bears move to 10-7 (3-5 NESCAC) while the Jumbos fall to 9-9 (6-3 NESCAC).
 
Match Highlights

• The Polar Bears took care of business in a 25-19, 25-19, 25-21 decision.
• Tied at 17-17 in the opening set, Bowdoin closed it out on an 8-2 run, capped by a Maya White ace and Skye LaMendola kill to take a 1-0 lead.
• Bowdoin sprinted to an 8-4 lead in the second set, and extended their edge to as many as eight points, 19-11, before closing it out and taking a 2-0 overall edge.
• Tufts looked to extend the match with a strong third set, leading most of the way, including at 20-19, before the Polar Bears used a 6-1 run to clinch the match. Alison Smith had a kill and an ace down the stretch to put it away.

By The Numbers

• Haley Campau posted ten kills and four blocks to lead the Polar Bear attack while Alison Smith added seven kills and four blocks.
• Skye LaMendola had eight kills and 15 digs while Anna Yeh finished with 12 digs for Bowdoin.
• Cameron Shelly had 18 assists and Paige Butler added 11 in the win.
