Men's Basketball Falls To Trinity

HARTFORD, Conn. – The eighth-ranked Trinity College men's basketball team shot 54% from the field in a 93-54 win over Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon. The Bantams move to 15-0 (2-0 NESCAC) while the Polar Bears fall to 6-9 (0-2 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • The Polar Bears stayed close in the early going, as the teams were tied at 19-19 with under nine minutes to play in the opening half.
  • Trinity rolled off a 27-3 run over the final 8:19 of the stanza, however, pushing their lead to 46-22 at the break.
  • Bowdoin shot better in the second half, but could get no closer than 17.
By The Numbers
  • The Polar Bears finished at 38% shooting for the contest and committed 22 turnovers which led to 32 Trinity points.
  • James McGowan finished with 12 points and three steals while Ben Chilson also saw double digits with 12 points.
