Polar Bears Compete at ITA New England Regional

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – The Bowdoin College women's tennis team had several individuals competing at the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's New England Regional Championship last weekend hosted by Wesleyan University.
 
Tournament Highlights
  • The top performance of the weekend came from a pair of doubles teams that reached the quarterfinal round. The unseeded duo of Caoline Stuhlfaut and Hannah Buckhout won two matches, against a pair from Trinity (8-5) and a team from MIT (8-3) before falling to the top seeded team from Babson that won the event, 8-5.
  • Cara Hung and Zoe Sun also reached the round of 16, getting a first round bye as the eighth seeded team and defeated a duo from Williams 8-7 (3) before dropping to a team from Wesleyan, 8-6.
  • Julia Ross claimed the lone singles win for Bowdoin, earning a 6-0, 6-0 victory in the opening round before falling to a seeded player from Wesleyan in the second round.
