BENNINGTON, Vt. – The Bowdoin College men's tennis team knocked off Williams, 5-2, in the semifinals of the NESCAC Tournament on Saturday afternoon. With the win, the Polar Bears (15-3) advance to the title match tomorrow against Middlebury at 1:00 p.m.

  • Evan Fortier/Mark Kneiss earned a win at number three, 8-7 (7-5) to give the Polar Bears an overall lead heading into singles.
  • In the first wave of singles play, Williams evened the score with a win at number one, but Bowdoin answered with clutch, three-set wins from Pieter Breuker (6-3, 1-6, 7-5) and Evan Fortier (4-6, 6-1, 6-2) to put the Polar Bears on the cusp of victory.
