Box Score MEDFORD, Mass. – The Bowdoin women's soccer team advanced to the NESCAC semifinals for the first time since 2015 with a 1-0 neutral site win over Connecticut College.
The Polar Bears extend their season with a 9-3-4 record. The Camels exit the playoffs with a 9-6-1 mark. Bowdoin bowed out of the NESCAC Tournament in the quarterfinals in 2016, '17, '18, '21, and '22.
Game Highlights
- Bowdoin tallied the game's first goal in the 12th minute. The Polar Bears drew a foul roughly 15 feet above the right side of the box. Greta Farkas lined up the free kick and sent the ball to the far left side. Samaya Bernardo went up for a header and connected with the service off her back. The ball deflected to the right post where Mary Rainey put it away on the grass.
- Bernardo put the Polar Bears' second shot on net in the 23rd minute, putting the ball low in the middle, but Sarah Hall was there to keep the game 1-0. Rainey nearly found the back of the net again with five minutes remaining after the ball bounced through traffic in front of the net and found her on the right post for another near side attempt.
- Charlotte Iannone made three saves in the first half, including a stop on Kristyn Moran's shot in the final minute.
- The Camels looked for an equalizer late in the second as Jamie Scarpantonio charged for a bouncing ball at the right post. Iannone came out to challenge the 50/50 ball and won out.

- The Polar Bears took no corner kicks over the 90 minutes, while the Camels lined up five.
- Bowdoin held a slight 10-9 edge in shots and 6-4 shots on goal advantage.
