Women's Hockey Suffers Series Sweep at Connecticut College

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team suffered a series sweep at Connecticut College following an 8-1 loss in game two on Saturday.
 
The Polar Bears are 6-6-0 (1-6-0 NESCAC). The Camels climb to 7-2-0 (5-1-0 NESCAC).
 
Game Highlights
  • The Camels scored three goals in the first period, all in the final ten minutes. Melanie Conca got the game going with a power play tally and Casey Chesner scored two of her game-high four goals in the frame.
  • Chesner picked off where she left off with two power play goals in the second. Conca added the team's sixth at 7:22.
  • Gia Massari had Bowdoin's lone goal midway through the frame.
  • Connecticut College tacked on a rebuttal goal one minute later and scored the game's final goal just under two minutes into the last period.
