Volleyball Splits Matches on Final Day of MIT Invitational

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. – The Bowdoin College volleyball team split a pair of matches at MIT on Saturday, defeating Keene State (3-1) before falling to nationally-ranked MIT (3-0). The results move the Polar Bears to 2-2 overall on the season.
 
Keene State Match Highlights
  • After splitting the first two sets, Bowdoin finished out the Owls in a 25-16, 20-25, 25-13, 25-15 decision.
  • Lauren Lange and Jenna Robbins paced Bowdoin with ten kills apiece while Sarah Evans posted eight kills and two aces.
  • Mary John led Bowdoin with six blocks while Joy Liu and Maya White had 11 digs each. Ella Haugen earned 32 assists.
  • Bowdoin's attack was accurate on the day, as they connected on 33% of their attacks, collecting 52 kills against just 13 errors.
MIT Match Highlights
  • Bowdoin couldn't overcome a potent MIT attack in their second match of the day, falling by scores of 25-12, 25-15, 25-13.
  • Jenna Robbins (6), Lauren Lange (5) and Corinne Lamond (4) led Bowdoin in kills.
  • Ella Haugen had 15 assists while Maya White added 12 digs.
  • For her performance over the weekend, Jenna Robbins was Bowdoin's representative on the MIT Invitational All-Tournament Team.
