WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Bowdoin College men's tennis team saw its season come to an end in a 5-1 loss to Williams in the Third Round of the NCAA Division III Championship Sunday afternoon.
The Polar Bears end a fantastic campaign with a record of 16-6 and the program's 21
st NCAA Tournament appearance.
Match Highlights
- The Polar Bears were able to grab a win at number three doubles courtesy of Ethan Bradley and Pieter Breuker (8-6), but lost tight matches at the other two doubles spots to trail 2-1 heading into singles play.
- In singles play, Williams won the first set in all six matches, putting Bowdoin in an early hole.
- The Polar Bears battled back in every second set, but not before Williams could grab the necessary three points with wins at number two, three and five to clinch the victory.
