MEDFORD, Mass. – The Bowdoin College men's lacrosse team couldn't overcome an early deficit, dropping their first game of the season in a 23-15 setback at Tufts on Wednesday night. The win gives the ninth-ranked Jumbos (14-1, 9-1 NESCAC) the top seed for the upcoming NESCAC Tournament. Seventh-ranked Bowdoin (14-1, 9-1 NESCAC) sees its school-record 14-match winning streak come to an end and will be the second seed, hosting Hamilton in the quarterfinals Saturday at Whittier Field.

- The Jumbos came out firing, opening up an 8-2 lead just minutes into the second quarter and extending their advantage to 11-3 midway through the frame.
