BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Bowdoin women's tennis team earned a 6-3 NESCAC win over visiting Colby on Thursday, despite a lack of available players forcing forfeits in doubles and singles.
The Polar Bears (6-6, 4-2 NESCAC) defeated the Mules (9-4, 4-2 NESCAC), while competing without a sixth player to field a complete lineup.
Match Highlights
- Hannah Buckhout and Elizabeth Yu won their doubles match 8-6 at number one.
- Fleming Landau and Julia Deluca secured the point at number two with an 8-5 finish.
- Landau cruised at number three without dropping a single game.
- Buckhout also made quick work of her opponent at two, going 6-2, 6-1.
- DeLuca posted a 6-3, 6-3 score at number four.
- Yu finished off a number one victory with a 6-3, 6-4 result.
