AMHERST, Mass. – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team could not crack through the Amherst defense in a 5-0 NESCAC Quarterfinal loss to the Mammoths on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears conclude the season at 10-11-1 after earning the number six seed in the conference playoffs. Amherst advances to the semifinals with a 13-8-2 record.
Game Highlights
- Bowdoin dominated offensively in the first period and held a 19-3 edge in shots. Despite the control, the Polar Bears were unable to breakthrough.
- Amherst scored less than a minute into the second period to take a 1-0 lead and added another goal three minutes later.
