AMHERST, Mass. - The Amherst College volleyball team took a straight-set victory over Bowdoin on Friday evening. The win improves to Amherst to 7-3 (3-1 NESCAC) while the Polar Bears fall to 5-5 (2-2 NESCAC).

Match Highlights

• Amherst claimed the match by set scores of 25-14, 25-21, 25-18. 
• The Mammoths closed the first set on a 9-2 run to pull away late in a 25-14 win.
• In the most competitive set of the night, Amherst used a late 5-1 run and held off the Polar Bears late rally in a 25-21 win.
• Amherst clinched the match by jumping to a 7-3 lead and never looking back in an eventual 25-18 third set win.

By The Numbers

• Bowdoin was paced by six kills each from Jaida Hodge-Adams and Lauren Lange. 
• Lange had five blocks while Ella Haugen added 15 assists.
• Maya White recorded 21 digs and Haugen had 17 in the loss.
