th-ranked Polar Bears, who were playing their first match in 656 days, improve to 1-0 with the 25-14, 25-11, 26-24 win. USM falls to 2-3 overall with the loss.
Match Highlights
- The Polar Bears jumped out to a 6-0 in the opening set and never trailed, cruising to an opening set win. Bowdoin closed out the set with a 14-6 surge, wrapping it up on a Cori Gray kill to take a 25-14 win.
- It was more of the same from the Polar Bears in set two, as the visitors sprinted to a 16-5 lead. Sophia Pahl sealed the 25-11 set win with a pair of late kills for Bowdoin.
- In easily the most competitive set, USM had Bowdoin on the brink, leading 24-15 before the Polar Bears rolled off 11 consecutive points to stun in the Huskies in a 26-24 win to clinch the match.
