BRUNSWICK, Maine – A pair of school-record performances highlighted the third Colby-Bates-Bowdoin outdoor track & field meet of the spring campaign on Saturday.
The non-scoring meet saw
Ajay Olson established a new school mark in the 100M dash (10.69) and nearly match the school's 45-year old 200M mark (21.42), missing the program record by 0.2 seconds.
Lydia Pitts tied the school record in the triple jump (11.84m), matching the mark set by Casey Kelley '02.
Those performances were part of a stellar effort by the Polar Bears, who claimed numerous first-place finishes at the meet. For the Bowdoin women
Serena Jonas (100M hurdles, long jump), Kianne Benjamin (100M, 200M),
Emma Hargreaves (hammer throw, shot put) all won multiple events.
In addition to Olson's two wins,
Reid Brawer claimed two first places (long jump, triple jump), while
John Auer won the 1500M.
