BRUNSWICK, Maine – Fresh off a convincing first round victory over Eastern Connecticut on Wednesday evening, the Bowdoin College field hockey team travels to Baltimore, Md., this weekend for an NCAA Regional hosted at John Hopkins University.

Series History vs. Potential Regional Opponents
Bowdoin has never played Centre College (15-3) in field hockey…the Colonels shocked 17
th-ranked Christopher Newport in overtime, 2-1, in Wednesday's opening round…Bowdoin will be highest ranked opponent of the season for Centre, who last played a top-ten team in the 2017 NCAA Tournament (TCNJ)…among the other regional teams, the Polar Bears have also never played Johns Hopkins in field hockey…Bowdoin has faced Salisbury twice all-time, in the 2014 NCAA Semifinals and 2013 NCAA Championship game, coming away with one-goal wins in both matches.

The winner of Saturday's match will advance to play the winner of Salisbury/Johns Hopkins at 1 p.m. on Sunday in the regional final. The winner of that contest advances to the national semifinals the following weekend in Hartford, Conn., on the campus of Trinity College.
