WATERVILLE, Maine – The Bowdoin College volleyball team recovered from a first set stumble to sprint past Colby, 3-1, on Friday evening. It's the 26
th straight win for the Polar Bears (18-4, 8-1 NESCAC) over the Mules (10-11, 2-7 NESCAC).
Match Highlights
- Bowdoin lost the first set, but cruised in the next three in convincing fashion to take a 22-25, 25-18, 25-17, 25-11 victory.
- After dropping the first set, Bowdoin righted the ship and immediately took command in the second set, opening on a 7-1 run. Colby got within two points, closing the gap to 19-17, but Bowdoin finished the set on a 6-1 run to even the match at 1-1.
- Tied at 14 in the third set, Bowdoin closed it out on a 11-4 surge to take the lead in sets, 2-1.
- The Polar Bears weren't challenged in the fourth, jumping to an early lead and rolling off an 8-1 run midway through to close it out on consecutive kills from Sophia Pahl and Cori Gray to clinch the victory.

- Cori Gray put home 19 kills against just one error and earned four blocks to lead the Polar Bears.
- Sophia Pahl added 16 kills and 15 digs while Jaida Hodge-Adams totaled eight kills and 14 digs.
- Ella Haugen had a season-high 52 assists and four service aces.
