Bantams Best Women's Hockey on Friday Night

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Bowdoin women's ice hockey team suffered a 7-2 loss at Trinity on Friday evening.

The Polar Bears slide to 8-10-3 (4-8-1 NESCAC). The Bantams collect their first conference win to climb to 6-11-4 (1-10-2 NESCAC).

Game Highlights

  • Bowdoin took a late one goal lead in the first period, scoring with 41 seconds remaining. Julia Surgenor put the Polar Bears on the board with an assist from Nell Fusco.
  • The Bantams poured in four second period goals to take a 4-1 lead. Three of the goals came on the power play.
  • Trinity scored two more goals in the first half of the third period before Bowdoin found the back of the net again, this time with Angelina Joyce tallying an unassisted point.
  • The Bantams responded a minute later to make it 7-2.
