Women's Tennis Completes Regular Season With Win at Williams

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – The Bowdoin College women's tennis team defeated Williams in a battle of top-ten teams on Saturday afternoon.

The seventh-ranked Polar Bears closed out their regular season with a flourish, defeating the Ephs and improving to 13-4 on the season.

Match Highlights

  • The Polar Bears won two tight doubles matches, Izzy Essi/Tasha Christ 8-7 at number two, and Fleming Landau/Sarah Shadowens 8-6 at number three to take a lead into singles play.
  • From there, Devon Wolfe, Essi and Sasa Jovanovic earned straight-set wins to clinch the victory.
  • Wolfe (6-2, 6-1), Essi (6-1, 6-1), and Jovanovic (6-3, 6-0) all had convincing wins while Landau won by default at the number six position.

  • Bowdoin will learn their seeding for next weekend's NESCAC Championship at Middlebury College early next week.
