Women's Tennis Continues Strong Start with 7-2 Win Against Sewanee

MALIBU, Calif. – The Bowdoin women's tennis team continued its strong spring season play with a 7-2 victory over Sewanee on Saturday morning.

The Polar Bears have not dropped a match in California. The Tigers are 6-5 on the year.

Match Highlights

  • Bowdoin took a 2-1 lead after doubles. Tasha Christ and Izzy Essi picked up a win at number two (8-2), while Fleming Landau and Sasa Jovanovic combined for an 8-1 win at three.
  • Julia Marks earned a hard fought win at one (7-6, 6-3) and the Polar Bears swept three through six.
  • Devon Wolfe went 6-3,6-2 at two and Essi went 6-3, 6-3 at three.
  • Jovanovic and Landau both picked up 6-0 wins in their opening sets, with Jovanovic going 6-3 in the second at five and Landau 7-5 at six.
