Women's Tennis Bounces Bobcats in Thursday Night Action

LEWISTON, Maine – The Bowdoin women's tennis team picked up a pivotal 7-2 victory over Bates on Thursday evening.

The Polar Bears (9-10) and Bobcats (9-9) started the match outside, completing doubles, before rain forced the teams indoors.

  • The Polar Bears swept doubles play with 8-3 wins at number one (Tess Trinka/Izzy Essi) and number two (Viv Daniel, Rachel Bercovitch).
  • At number three, Tasha Christ and Sasa Jovanovic pinned an 8-4 setback on Bates.
  • Trinka earned the fourth point for Bowdoin at number one, going 6-4, 6-1.
