Women's Basketball Races Past Maine Maritime For Bowdoin Invitational Crown

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The top-ranked Bowdoin College women's basketball team overwhelmed Maine Maritime Academy in a 94-43 victory to win the Bowdoin Invitational on Sunday afternoon at Morrell Gymnasium.

The Polar Bears improve to 10-0 on the season with the victory while the Mariners fall to 7-3 with the setback. The 51-point loss was the worst for Maine Maritime since 2014.

Abby Kelly, who finished with a game-high 19 points, was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player. Maddie Hasson was named as an All-Tournament selection. Alayne Felix (Maine Maritime), Mikayala Pucci (Wheaton), and Geminii Cabrera (Cedar Crest) were the other All-Tournament selections.
