BRUNSWICK, Maine – The top-ranked Bowdoin College women's basketball team overwhelmed Maine Maritime Academy in a 94-43 victory to win the Bowdoin Invitational on Sunday afternoon at Morrell Gymnasium.

The Polar Bears improve to 10-0 on the season with the victory while the Mariners fall to 7-3 with the setback. The 51-point loss was the worst for Maine Maritime since 2014.

Abby Kelly, who finished with a game-high 19 points, was named the Tournament's Most Valuable Player. Maddie Hasson was named as an All-Tournament selection. Alayne Felix (Maine Maritime), Mikayala Pucci (Wheaton), and Geminii Cabrera (Cedar Crest) were the other All-Tournament selections.

• The Polar Bears never trailed, jumping to an 8-2 lead on the strength of three-pointers from Abby Kelly and Taylor Choate.
• The Mariners stayed within striking distance thanks to six early points from Alayne Felix as Maine Maritime trailed just 15-10 after one quarter.

• The Polar Bears stifled the Mariners, holding them to just 27% from the field and forcing 28 turnovers while blocking five shots.
• Abby Kelly led all players with 19 points and five steals while Hannah Graham pitched in 13 points off the bench for the Polar Bears.
• Taylor Choate also saw double figures with 10 points and five rebounds.
• Maine Maritime was led by 17 from Alayne Felix, who also had seven rebounds.
• Bowdoin owned a 40-34 edge in rebounding and cashed in 20 second-chance points while also converting 28 points off turnovers in the win.
