Box Score WATERVILLE, Maine – The Bowdoin College women's basketball team cruised to its fifth win of the season, 79-49, at Colby on Saturday afternoon.
In the non-conference meeting between the schools, the top-ranked Polar Bears improved to 5-0 while the Mules drop to 3-2 this season.
Game Highlights
- Bowdoin took a 16-10 lead after one quarter of play and the Mules were able to stay close with hot shooting in the second quarter.
- Despite Colby shooting 50% from the field in the second period, Bowdoin connected on 53% from the field to carry a 40-28 lead into the break.
- Bowdoin put it out of reach in the third quarter, opening the frame on an 11-0 run to take a commanding 51-28 lead following an Abby Kelly three-pointer and Maddie Hasson layup with seven minutes to go in the quarter.
- The Polar Bears led by as many as 31 points in the fourth quarter before settling for the 30-point margin of victory.

- Bowdoin shot well from the field, connecting on 49% from the floor despite going 3-11 from long-distance. Colby shot 29% and went 7-21 from three-point distance.
- Bowdoin owned a 44-36 edge in rebounding and forced 16 Colby turnovers, converting them into 25 points.
- Abby Kelly was red hot, connecting on 10-12 from the field, including 2-3 from three-point range, to finish with a game-high 22 points. She also had eight rebounds.
- Maddie Hasson had 17 points, four rebounds and four steals.
- Keagan Dunbar had 21 points in the loss for Colby.
