Box Score CLINTON, N.Y. – The Bowdoin men's soccer team played to a 1-1 double overtime tie at Hamilton on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears (7-3-1, 3-2-1 NESCAC) erased a first half deficit with an equalizer from Moctar Niang to force overtime with the Continentals (7-5-1, 3-4-1 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- Jefri Schmidt's shot was headed away by a Bowdoin defender at the right post, but Bobby Chapman buried the rebound in the upper right corner. The Hamilton lead came in the 25th minute.
- Bowdoin tallied its goal five minutes into the second half. Ryan Houseman set up a corner kick from the left side. Niang elevated above the Hamilton defenders to head the ball into the right corner.
- Bowdoin outshot Hamilton 6-3 in the first overtime, while the Continentals held a 2-1 edge in the second overtime. Chris Kingston turned away a pair of back-to-back shots in the 98th minute.
