BRUNSWICK, Maine - Twelve different players scored as the Bowdoin College women's basketball team earned a 88-58 non-conference win over Husson on Tuesday evening in Morrell Gymnasium. 

The Polar Bears (16-0) are ranked third in the latest WBCA Division III poll and equal the second-best start in program history. Husson falls to 7-7 with the loss.

Game Highlights

• After Husson scored the game's first basket on a jumper from Kenzie Worcester, Bowdoin scored the next ten points and never trailed again.
• Lydia Caputi sparked the run with a three-pointer and ended the surge with a layup to give the Polar Bears a 10-2 advantage.
• Bowdoin extended their lead to 21-8 after one quarter and owned a 41-19 advantage at the break.
• Husson stayed within striking distance thanks to eight points from Joan Overman in the third quarter, as Bowdoin outscored the Eagles 21-20 in the period.
• The Polar Bears led by as many as 32 points in the final quarter en route to the victory.

• Bowdoin shot 54% from the field in the win and took advantage of 31 Husson turnovers, converting them to 43 points.
• The Polar Bears held a 35-31 edge in rebounding and got 63 points from their bench.
• Abby Kelly hit a season-high five three-pointers to finish with a game-high 21 points with eight rebounds for Bowdoin. Maddie Hasson had 18 points while Lydia Caputi added ten.
• Sam Roy had a career-high eight assists for Bowdoin.
• Husson was led by 19 points from Kenzie Worcester while Joan Overman and Sarah Bragg added ten apiece.
