Box Score BANGOR, Maine – The Bowdoin men's soccer team used a pair of second half goals to post a 2-0 midweek win at Husson University on Tuesday evening.
The Polar Bears (2-1-0) return to the win column and secure their second shutout of the season. The Eagles fall to 1-2 on the year.
Highlights
- Despite dominating the opening half, the Polar Bears were unable to produce any promising scoring opportunities.
- With under three minutes remaining in the first, Husson had its best look of the frame. Following a Bowdoin foul just outside the box, Rod Ghanayem launched a free kick towards the top left corner, but clipped the crossbar causing the ball to soar over.
- Bowdoin took the lead just 3:28 into the second half. Ethan Ellsworth capitalized on a free kick on the left side. Ellsworth fired off a high arcing shot that curved over the Husson goaltender and slipped in below the crossbar.
- Levi Morant added to the tally ten minutes later. Morant finished off a cross from Moctar Niang, heading the ball from six yards out.

- Bowdoin outshot the Eagles by a 14-6 margin and held a 6-3 edge in corner kicks.
- Stevie Van Siclen made a pair of saves for his second shutout of the season.
- Cody Gross had five stops for Husson.
