Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine - Jack Bors netted a game-high 22 points to lead the Bowdoin College men's basketball team to a key NESCAC win, 83-75, over Hamilton on Friday evening at Morrell Gymnasium.
The Polar Bears improve to 11-9 (2-5 NESCAC) while the Continentals drop to 14-6 (3-4 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- In a hot-shooting first half for both squads, Bowdoin carried a 47-41 lead into the break thanks to 64% shooting in the opening period.
- Bors scored 12 early points for the Polar Bears but Hamilton was able to stay within striking distance thanks to 12 from Kena Gilmour and six three-point baskets as a team.
- Up seven early in the second half, Bors hit a running jumper to spark a quick 8-0 spurt that included a pair of David Reynolds baskets to take a 67-52 lead with 11:04 remaining
- The Polar Bears maintained a double-digit lead until the six minute mark when Hamilton closed the gap to nine points.
- The Continentals got as close as six points, 81-75, with 1:16 remaining thanks to a late 9-2 surge, but could get no closer in the final minute of play as the Polar Bears held on to win.

- In addition to Bors, Bowdoin got huge contributions from Liam Farley (16 points on 7-8 shooting) and David Reynolds (14 points on 7-9 shooting) off the bench.
- Jack Simonds had 14 points for the Polar Bears while Hugh O'Neil had a team-best nine rebounds.
- Gilmour led Hamilton with a 19-point performance while Peter Hoffmann (15 points, 10 rebounds) and Andrew Groli (14 points, nine boards) also saw double-digits.
- Bowdoin finished at 60% shooting for the game while Hamilton connected on 40%.
