Box Score MEDFORD, Mass. - The Tufts University football team kept Bowdoin out of the endzone for the first time this season in a 31-3 victory on Saturday afternoon at Zinman Field.
The Jumbos improved to 3-1 while gaining 462 total yards and allowing just 216. The Polar Bears, led by 109 yards rushing from sophomore halfback Nate Richam, fell to 0-4.
Game Highlights
- Bowdoin hung with the Jumbos in the opening half, trading field goals early thanks to a 30-yarder from Andrew Sisti early in the second quarter.
- Tufts scored a pair of late touchdowns before halftime, however, as Ryan McDonald ran for a 14-yard score and tossed to Dan de Leon for a 22-yard strike to make it 17-3 Tufts at the break.
- The Jumbos added a score in the third quarter and in the fourth quarter to make it a 31-3 final score.

- Richam eclipsed the 100-yard mark for the second time in his career, running for 109 yards on 19 carries.
