BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team celebrated Senior Day with a sweep of Middlebury and Maine-Presque Isle on Saturday at Morrell Gymnasium.

The victories improve the Polar Bears to 11-7 (7-1 NESCAC) this season.

Middlebury Highlights

• In one of their more impressive performances of the season, Bowdoin swept the Panthers 3-0 by set scores of 25-21, 25-17, 25-22.
• Caroline Flaharty continued her hot play, putting home 19 kills against just four errors to go with 15 digs.
• Bowdoin also got nine kills from Ashley Williams while Kate Kiser dished out 33 assists.
• Defensively, Bowdoin got a 22-dig effort from Lisa Sheldon and six blocks from Sydney Salle.

Maine-Presque Isle Highlights

• The Polar Bears finished off the Owls in an hour, 25-15, 25-16, 25-9.
• A balanced attack featured four Polar Bears with at least five kills, led by eight from Ashley Williams and seven from Danielle Abrams.
• Michelle Albright had nine digs and Khelsea Gordon added four blocks in the victory.

• Bowdoin will compete at the New England Invitational next weekend in Amherst, Mass., where they will open play on Friday evening against Wheaton at 7:00 p.m.
