Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine – Cat Gambino scored with nine minutes remaining in regulation to lift the Hamilton women's soccer team to a 1-0 conference victory over host Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon.
The Continentals improve to 7-4-2 (3-4-2 NESCAC) while dropping the Polar Bears to 7-4-1 (2-4-1 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- Katie Kreider challenged Bowdoin's Rachel Stout in the 62nd minute with a promising look from just inside the box. A strong play by Stout turned the shot aside and kept the teams knotted at nil.
- Just two minutes later Gambino earned a breakaway opportunity on net, but again Stout denied the bid.
- With 20 minutes remaining in the game, Morgen Gallagher found Lynn Farquhar with a well-timed cross. Farquhar's shot towards the left side soared just over the crossbar.
- Hamilton broke the stalemate at 70:59. Darby Philbrick fed Gambino who slotted a shot to the far right corner for the 1-0 lead.

- Stout made six stops on the opposite end for Bowdoin.
