Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine – The Hamilton men's soccer team scored a pair of quick first half goals and held on for a 2-1 win at Bowdoin on Saturday afternoon.
The loss is Bowdoin's second conference setback of the year, falling to 9-3-0 (5-2-0 NESCAC). The Continentals pick up a win to climb to 6-4-2 (3-4-1 NESCAC).
Game Highlights
- Hamilton took a 1-0 lead in the 32nd minute. Stevie Van Siclen made a diving save to deny an initial bid, but Bobby Chapman waited near the right post to put back the rebound.
- Two minutes later Chapman doubled the Continentals lead. This time, the junior finished off a left side feed from Aidan Wood.
- Bowdoin stepped up pressure in the second half, outshooting the Continentals 9-4, and eventually earned a penalty kick. Wilson MacMillan converted on the opportunity to cut the lead in half.
