Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine - The second-ranked Amherst College women's basketball team rode hot shooting in the first half to a 66-45 win at Bowdoin on Friday evening.
The Purple & White improve to 16-0 (4-0 NESCAC) in handing 16th-ranked Bowdoin (12-3, 2-2 NESCAC) its worst loss of the season.
Game Highlights
- Amherst jumped out to an 11-0 lead and never trailed, building a 24-point halftime advantage thanks to 58% shooting in the first two quarters.
- Ali Doswell sparked the attack, scoring 12 points in the opening half as Amherst outscored Bowdoin 22-7 in the second quarter.
- Bowdoin was able to stay within shouting distance thanks to nine first-half points from Emily Campbell.
- Amherst continued to build their lead in the second half, upping their advantage to as many as 30 points in the victory.

- Amherst owned a 44-31 edge on the glass and finished at 49% shooting for the game, including 34 points in the paint.
- Bowdoin finished at 31% shooting in the contest.
