Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Williams College women's volleyball team rallied from a 2-1 deficit to stun Bowdoin, 3-2, in a rematch of the 2015 NESCAC Championship match on Saturday afternoon in Morrell Gymnasium.
The Ephs rebound from a Friday night loss and improve to 3-4 (1-1 NESCAC) while the Polar Bears lose their second NESCAC contest of the year and drop to 4-3 (0-2 NESCAC).
Match Highlights
- Williams took the win by game scores of 25-23, 16-25, 20-25, 25-23, 15-13
- After splitting the first two, Bowdoin took a 2-1 lead in the third thanks to a late 6-1 run. The Ephs could get no closer than three points following the Polar Bear surge as Bowdoin claimed a 25-20 win
- Bowdoin appeared poised to take the match in four, sprinting to a 15-9 lead and holding a 21-17 advantage late in the frame. But Williams mounted an impressive 8-2 run to claim the set, as the Ephs took advantage of a Bowdoin service error and three attack errors by the Polar Bears to knot the match
- In the decisive fifth, the teams traded points until Bowdoin held a 11-10 edge following a Williams service error. The Ephs won five of the final seven points of the contest to clinch the match, getting a match-clinching kill from Erin Denham to seal the triumph

- Williams was paced by 11 kills from Tori Jasuta while Denham ended with seven
- The Ephs got 21 assists from Alex Newton while Jasuta added 22 digs
- Catie Benell had three service aces for Williams
- Bowdoin got 16 kills apiece from Erika Sklaver and Sydney Salle
- Quincy Leech had 33 assists and Katie Doherty had 33 digs in the loss for Bowdoin
- The Polar Bears totaled more kills (54) than Williams (38) on the day, but were victimized by 28 attack errors and 15 service errors in the loss
