LEWISTON, Maine – The Bowdoin women's tennis team dropped only one set en route to a 9-0 NESCAC win at Bates on Wednesday evening.

The Polar Bears (9-1) finished off the Bobcats (3-9) to remain undefeated in conference play.

Match Highlights

• Bowdoin swept doubles play with an 8-2 win at number one (Tiffany Cheng/Joulia Likhanskaia), an 8-4 finish at two (Kyra Silitch/Tess Trinka), and an 8-0 shutout at three (Samantha Stalder/Sarah Shadowens).
• Trinka dropped the only Bowdoin set of the day in a 6-4 opener at number three, but rebounded to finish with back-to-back 6-2 sets.
• Silitch and Pilar Giffenig won their matches at numbers four and six respectively with 6-0, 6-1 finals.
• Maddie Rolph battled for a 7-5 victory in her opening set and clinched her match with a 6-3 second at five singles.
• Likhanskaia (6-2, 6-2) and Cheng (6-3, 6-2) each won in straight sets in the top two spots.
