Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team closed out its regular season with a 3-0 victory over Colby-Sawyer on Saturday afternoon in Morrell Gymnasium.
The Polar Bears finish their campaign with 14-9 (6-4 NESCAC) and will be the fourth seed for the upcoming NESCAC Tournament and will face Wesleyan in the opening round Friday evening at Tufts. More information will be announced this week. The Chargers fall to 10-20 and will play in the North Atlantic Conference Tournament next weekend in Castine, Maine.
Match Highlights
- Bowdoin jumped to early leads in all three sets and took the 3-0 decision in just 58 minutes, winning by set scores of 25-13, 25-12, 25-10
- The Polar Bears connected on a .552 hitting percentage for the match, including a 12-kill, 0-error effort from senior Erika Sklaver.
- Caroline Flaharty had 11 kills while Sydney Salle added ten for Bowdoin. Katie Doherty posted 13 digs while Flaharty added 12. Quincy Leech posted 40 assists for the Polar Bears.
- Courtney Murray had six kills for Colby-Sawyer in the loss while Olivia Goodrich had 14 assists.
