Box Score 2 ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team suffered a pair of losses to national powerhouses on Friday evening on Day One of the Active Ankle Invite hosted by Washington University.
The Polar Bears were tied at a set apiece against eighth-ranked Texas-Dallas before succumbing in a hard-fought 3-1 decision. In the nightcap, Bowdoin dropped another tightly-played match, 3-0, to Milikin, who ranks just outside the Divison III Top-25. Bowdoin stands at 12-6 overall this season.
Texas-Dallas Match
- UT-Dallas took the first set handily, but Bowdoin hung with them for the remainder, falling in a 25-16, 23-25, 25-22, 25-20 loss. UT-Dallas improved to 21-1 with the victory
- Caroline Flaharty (18 kills, 15 digs) and Sydney Salle (16 kills, six blocks) led the way for Bowdoin with outstanding performances at the net
- Quincy Leech totaled 37 assists and 19 digs while Katie Doherty earned 23 digs in the setback
