Box Score 2 BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team cruised to a pair of 3-0 sweeps on Saturday, defeating Bates in a NESCAC match and Emerson in a non-conference game in Morrell Gymnasium.
The win over Bates officially clinches a NESCAC Tournament bid for the Polar Bears, who move to 12-5 (5-4 NESCAC) with the pair of victories.
Bates Match - Highlights
- The Bobcats didn't challenge the Polar Bears, as Bowdoin cruised to the win by set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 25-15
- Caroline Flaharty led the way with 13 kills and eight digs for the Polar Bears, while Sydney Salle added a dozen and Erika Sklaver posted 11
- Katie Doherty racked up 22 digs while Albright had 16. Doherty also had three service aces
- Quincy Leech recorded six kills and 39 assists in the victory
Emerson Match - Highlights
- Bowdoin wasted little time dispatching Emerson by scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-18
- Flaharty again led the Bowdoin attack with 14 kills while making 14 digs
- Sklaver added 12 kills in the victory while Quincy Leech dished 41 assists
- Syndey Salle had four blocks and Katie Doherty collected 22 digs to lead the Polar Bear defense
