WATERVILLE, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's basketball team dominated the boards en route to a 62-49 win at Colby on Saturday afternoon.

The Polar Bears complete a season sweep of the Mules and improve to 15-5 (4-2 NESCAC) while Colby falls to 11-8 (3-3 NESCAC). Bowdoin has won nine in a row against the Mules and 28 of the last 31 meetings.

• Bowdoin overcame 15 fouls called against them in the opening half to lead 28-19 at the break
• The Polar Bears held the Mules to just 23% shooting from the field in the opening two quarters to aid their advantage
• Colby could get no closer than nine points in the second half as the Polar Bears stemmed every Mule rally to cruise to the win

• Bowdoin held a 40-25 edge in rebounding and converted 13 second-chance points to help secure the victory
• The Polar Bears also scored 21 points off 15 Colby turnovers
• Shannon Brady scored 13 points, grabbed eight rebounds and had three steals to lead Bowdoin
• Kate Kerrigan scored 12 points and had seven rebounds while Marle Curle scored nine and dished four assists
• Abigail Kelly pitched in nine points off the bench for Bowdoin
• Colby was led by 14 from Carylanne Wolfington
