Box Score LEWISTON, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's basketball team jumped out to a 11-3 lead and never looked back, cruising to a 82-54 win at Bates on Saturday afternoon.
The Polar Bears (8-2) earned their seventh consecutive victory overall with the victory. Under the direction of first-year head coach Alison (Smith) Montgomery (Bowdoin '05), the Bobcats dip to 2-7 on the year.

- After falling behind 3-2 in the opening moments, Bowdoin used a 9-0 run and never trailed again
- Lydia Caputi sparked the run with a three-pointer and had six points in the first quarter as the Polar Bears led 21-9 after the opening frame
- Aly Silfen scored 11 first half points as Bowdoin carried a 41-19 lead into halftime
- Shannon Brady scored 13 of her game-high 19 points in the third quarter as Bowdoin led by as many as 30 points en route to the victory
