WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. - In a game that featured seven ties and ten lead changes, the Williams College men's basketball team held off Bowdoin 76-65 on Sunday.

The Ephs improve to 11-5 (2-2 NESCAC) while the Polar Bears fall to 8-5 (1-2 NESCAC).

Game Highlights

• A tightly-played first half saw Williams use a 10-2 run over the final five minutes before the break to take a 40-31 lead at halftime
• Bowdoin battled back thanks to a 11-2 run early in the second half, tying the game on consecutive three-pointers from Jack Simonds
• Bowdoin briefly took the lead on their next possession when Lucas Hausman knocked home a three-pointer, but the Ephs answered with a 7-0 surge, sparked by James Heskett trifecta, to take a 52-48 lead with 11 minutes to go
• The Polar Bears again showed perseverance, tying the game on two occasions - at 54 and 56 - before the Ephs rolled off their decisive run
• Williams scored six straight points after the game was tied at 56 and, after Neil Fuller cut into the lead with a hoop-and-harm, got four straight points from Daniel Aronowitz to extend their lead to seven points, 66-59, with three minutes to go
• Bowdoin could get no closer than five points for the remainder of the game as the Ephs hit six free throws in the final minute to seal the win

• Lucas Hausman scored a game-high 26 points in defeat for Bowdoin
• Simonds scored 17 points for the Polar Bears while Neil Fuller added 10
• Daniel Aronowitz led Williams with 19 points and 11 rebounds
• Williams held a 37-31 edge in rebounding and hit 51% of their shots compared to 36% for Bowdoin
• The Ephs' bench outscored the Polar Bears' by a 19-6 margin
