Box Score BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team rolled to its fifth consecutive victory on Wednesday down, sweeping Colby in a non-conference match at Morrell Gymnasium, 3-0.
The Polar Bears improve to 7-3 overall this season while the Mules drop to 7-5.
How It Happened
- Bowdoin controlled the first two sets, 25-9 and 25-14 before battling to a 28-26 win in the third to clinch the victory.
- Tied at 26 apiece in the third, Hayley Wahl sealed the win with consecutive services aces for the Polar Bears.
- Christy Jewett put home 13 digs to go with seven digs in the victory.
- Bowdoin was bolstered by eight kills from Erika Sklaver while Katie Doherty (20 digs) led the Polar Bears defensively.
- Quincy Leech had 30 assists, 11 digs and two blocks in the win
- Colby was led by five kills from Kim Donaldson and Karolina Serhan.
- Erin Maidman had eight digs to lead the Mules defensively while Brooke Detwiler had a team-best nine assists.
