BRUNSWICK, Maine - The Bowdoin College women's volleyball team defeated Worcester State on the opening night of the 2015 Midcoast Classic at Morrell Gymnasium on Friday, cruising to a 3-0 triumph in their home opener. 

Bowdoin stands at 5-3 after the win while Worcester State falls to 5-5.

How It Happened

• Bowdoin dominated the first two sets, 25-12 and 25-8 before rallying past the Lancers 26-24 in the third.
• Christy Jewett totaled 12 kills on the night to pace the Polar Bears.
• Quincy Leech had 22 assists while Lisa Sheldon added 12 digs.
• Bowdoin got eight kills from Michelle Albright and five apiece from Erika Sklaver and Dana Williams
• Emily Carens and Jennifer Cabral had five kills each for Worcester State
• Alexandra Nolan had nine assists while Kaylee Leduc had six digs.
