Box Score 2 CAMBRIDGE, Mass. - The Bowdoin College volleyball team suffered a pair of setbacks Saturday at the MIT Invitational, falling to Babson (3-2) and MIT (3-0).
With the losses, the Polar Bears dip to 2-3 overall this season. Babson improves to 5-1 while MIT now stands at 8-1.
Babson Match
- The Beavers controlled the first two games, winning 25-13 and 25-18 before Bowdoin found its footing.
- The Polar Bears rebounded to win game three 25-17 and four, 25-13 to force a decisive fifth.
- Babson controlled the decider, however, taking a 15-7 victory to clinch the win

MIT Match
- The Engineers triumphed game scores of 25-17, 28-26, 25-13.
- Christy Jewett had a team-high 14 kills and 14 digs in the setback for Bowdoin.
- After her performance this weekend, Jewett became just the fifth player to surpass 1,000 career kills at Bowdoin and now owns 1,019 overall.
- Quincy Leech had 22 assists for Bowdoin to go with nine digs
- Katie Doherty had four service aces
